Dave Waterson MBE

Dave Waterson, an inspirational club member, camp cook and leader of SLC for more than 30 years, died on the 8th December 2004 aged 89. Dave joined the club in 1928 aged 13 and excelled at physical training, boxing and weightlifting. He worked as a junior officer before serving in WW2. After the war Dave continued as a volunteer at the club and also ran the Regent Gym and Body Building Club. The club was incorporated into SLC by the 1960s.
