From Street bikes to Mountain bikes

A group of 15 young people from the club had a fantastic adventurous day last Saturday swapping their bikes for mountain bikes. A team from the Cyclone project took SLC members to the remote moorland tracks and forests of Rivington Pike to learn the skills of dirt bike riding. Eddie Colman, a Salford Lad

The 50th anniversary of the Munich aircrash today is of particular significance to Salford Lads’ Club, where the Manchester United legend Eddie Colman was a member. Eddie joined the club when he was thirteen and captained the club’s 3rd division side when he was just 14. He also attended the annual camp on 3 occasions in 1951, 1952,1954.
