New Drama premiers at the club

A new group of talented actors, Strawberry Blond Curls premiered a powerful tragic/comic drama “Elastic Bridge” at the club tonight. Eddie Fortune, Rosie McPherson and John Tomlinson devised, and acted in their first joint production which they have rehearsed at the club over the past month A second performance takes at the club tomorrow at 7.30pm. Billy Bragg and Jarvis Cocker at Salford Lads’ Club

Yesterday we had a great music event here, part of the Un-Convention weekend. We had settees in the gym, Jarvis Cocker in the Smiths Room and Billy Bragg in the concert hall. And lots more in between - including some amazing performances from the Beating Wing Orchestra, Kid British and an international band led by Graham Massey.
