Lads and dads pool success

We’ve had a couple of successful pool   events recently with 3 lads reaching the North West Finals. William Doyle won the under 12 GMFCYP Pool competition beating fellow club member Dylan Kelly in a closely fought final. William is becoming quite a star as he also won the GMFCYP snooker final.  In the under 14 competition Connor Wilson reached the final and he also qualifies for the North West finals early next year. Frankie and the Heartstrings melt the ice at Salford Lads’ Club

The North East may be frozen but Frankie and The Heartstrings braved the arctic weather to perform a glowing set in the concert hall last night. The gig had started with a terrific set from Brooklyn indies Small Black before Frankie and co took to the stage. Rio Drops in for Kickz

Manchester United star and England Captain Rio Ferdinand called at the club today - meeting young people involved in the Manchester United Foundation Kickz Project. About 90 young people from Old Trafford, Ordsall and Langworthy gained awards for participating in football, dance and music. Rio spent around 2 hours at the club taking part in a question and answer session, watching performances and presenting certificates to the young people.
