Barclays Whitewash Salford Lads’ Club!

The cellars at the club got a new coat of paint today, courtesy of the Barclays Bank Business team from Manchester. The Barclays team had a tour of the club before descending into the cellars to spend the day making the place bright and white. Thanks to Barclays for all their hard work! All we need now is a new boiler and heating system for the building. Anyone got a spare £80,000?

Cricket World Cup Inspires Lads

Last night saw the start of a 6 week cricket coaching session in the gym coinciding with the cricket world cup in India. The sessions which will take place every Monday night for the next 6 weeks are organised by the GMFCYP. The project has been developed by the ECB and The Lord’s Taverners to inspire the next generation of English cricket talent. The sessions lead up to an indoor Cricket Festival later in the spring at the Melland Sports Centre.
