Barclays Whitewash Salford Lads’ Club!

The cellars at the club got a new coat of paint today, courtesy of the Barclays Bank Business team from Manchester. The Barclays team had a tour of the club before descending into the cellars to spend the day making the place bright and white. Thanks to Barclays for all their hard work! All we need now is a new boiler and heating system for the building. Anyone got a spare £80,000?

Lads and dads pool success

We’ve had a couple of successful pool   events recently with 3 lads reaching the North West Finals. William Doyle won the under 12 GMFCYP Pool competition beating fellow club member Dylan Kelly in a closely fought final. William is becoming quite a star as he also won the GMFCYP snooker final.  In the under 14 competition Connor Wilson reached the final and he also qualifies for the North West finals early next year. Niall sets off for the Himalayas

Salford Lads’ Club volunteer, Niall Armsden sets off this week to the Indian Himalayas as one of only 2 young people in the North West selected to take part in an expedition organised the BSES, British Schools Exploration Society. Niall is an experienced camper, having taken part in 8 camping trips with Salford Lads club since he joined at the age of 10.
