In recent years the club has hosted many memorable live music performances. From classical to rock, our newly refurbished concert hall is a unique space. The Hollies even rehearsed here!

The first was a performance by Mike Joyce and ex-Oasis guitarist Bonehead in the band, The Dogs (formerly Moondog One) during the live BBC 6 music event in 2003. The following year Andy Rourke and Vinny Peculiar performed two acoustic sessions in May and June of 2004 when we opened the Smiths Room. Andy and Vinny also played live from the bandroom for a live digital radio broadcast by Radio Regen, (one of the forerunners of the local radio station, Salford City Radio).

Recently we’ve seen performances ranging from the BBC Philharmonic Quartet to an acoustic session by Danny Mahon in The Smiths room.
