“The Tony Hancock of Pop” helps our appeal

Walkden based singer songwriter Vinny Peculiar is donating money from the sales of his latest single to our fundraising appeal. Vinny, a long time supporter of the club, is aware of the rich musical tradition that goes back to the earliest days of the club. 3 Salford Lads’ and Girls’ in National Finals

5 young people from the club who were winners in the GMFCYP snooker and pool events earlier this year took part in the Northern area finals in Barnsley yesterday. Dylan Whitehead reached the semi finals, while Montel Harper and Aimee Armsden reached the finals. All 3 have now qualified for the National finals in June, what a fantastic achievement.

Fashion shoot in the gym

Last month Rachel Liggett, a Manchester fashion photographer, approached us to use the club as a background for a few fashion shots. On the day of the shoot her team of makeup artist and a model appeared and we left them to get on with it. Rachel sent us one of the pictures last week.
