Salford Lads & Girls Club Wins Heart of Salford Award

Salford Lads & Girls Club Wins Heart of Salford Award

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Salford Lads & Girls Club has been named Joint Winner of the Large Organisation of the Year at the 2025 Heart of Salford Awards, hosted by Salford CVS.

This award recognises the incredible impact of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across Salford—and we’re so proud to be acknowledged for the work we do in youth, heritage, and community support.

A Testament to Teamwork

This recognition belongs to our dedicated staff team, volunteers, and young people. From weekly youth clubs and football sessions to guided heritage tours and cultural programmes, every person involved helps us continue our mission to brighten young lives and build good citizens.

We’re proud to share this award with Aspire and congratulate all the other nominees and winners who are doing such valuable work across the city.

Shining a Light on Youth Volunteering

A special mention goes to Jaxson, one of our incredible youth volunteers, who was nominated for Young Volunteer of the Year.

Although he didn’t take home the award, Jaxson’s impact is huge—from mentoring peers to helping run events, he plays a key role in the life of the club.

“Volunteering at the club gives me confidence and helps me feel like I’m making a difference. It’s like a second home for me.” – Jaxson

Thank You

We’d like to thank Salford CVS for organising such a fantastic celebration of Salford’s community spirit, and for recognising the work of volunteers and organisations across the city.

And of course, thank you to all our supporters—from funders and partners to families and friends of the club. This award is yours, too.
