Nippers Exhibition

An Exhibition about the Nippers of Salford Lads Club is showing at the Peoples History Museum in Manchester every day until 17th January 2016. The exhibition title is taken from one the clubs 22,500 record cards from 1903, when lads aged 13 worked as Nippers in local industries. The exhibition links these records to photographs…

Citizenship & self defence

Salford Foundation Trust have been in the club this week with their NCS programme. Over 200 young people from Salford and Trafford have spent their half term taking part in a whole series of activities including a residential in Wales, planning business and community projects and having a go at self-protection via boxing skills.

Theatre workshop brings history to life

Theatre came to the club today as part of the Ideas 4 Ordsall project. Lads and Girls Club take to the water
